SkillsUSA (AMT)
Overview
During my Junior year, I competed in the SkillsUSA CTE competition in the Automated Manufacturing Technology category (similar to 3-axis CNC Milling) with two peers, winning the Regional Championship and becoming the California State Finalist. The machine used was a Haas Desktop CNC Mill, but I designed and installed enhancements that included new soft jaws and a laser edge finder (orange parts).
I programmed and operated the machine during the competition.
